Squee Spree: Echidna vs. Pangolin

For this week's Squee Spree face-off we have two strangely squee creatures, the Echidna (top) and the Pangolin (bottom). The Echidna is one of the only egg-laying mammals in the world and is also known as the spiny anteater, while the Pangolin is the only mammal to grow scales made of keratin all over its body! Squee Spree: Scaly Anteater

Pangolins are the only mammals alive today that have bodies covered with thick, keratin scales - the same substance human nails are made from! It's no wonder this scaly squee has many nicknames like "scaly anteater", or "living pine cone", etc.
